This is a discretionary grant competition intended to select one or more organizations to deliver comprehensive early childhood education and family support services in the local area, following all Head Start and Early Head Start program requirements.
Approximately $3,713,786 in annual federal funding is available under this opportunity, with an anticipated total of two awards. The grant supports the full range of Head Start and/or Early Head Start services, which typically includes early learning and school readiness programming, health and developmental screenings and follow-up, family engagement and support services, nutrition services, and coordination with community providers. Applicants are expected to propose a model that meets local needs across the three counties and demonstrates the capacity to manage federal funds, comply with Head Start Performance Standards, and deliver high-quality services to eligible participants.
